Create Folder

  • Select the default root folder Snippets. Click on New Folder button from the Snippets menu.

  • The Folder Name window opens. Type the name of the folder and click Create.

Create Snippet

  • In the main window, click on Snippets tab to open Snippets panel. The Snippets root folder is added by default when starting Designer Basic.

  • To create a new snippet click on Image Added button from Snippets menu. A Save As window will open and the user must specify the name of the new snippet.

  • When finished, click Save. The snippet will appear in the snippets list under Snippets root folder, the snippet will be open for editing and a tab with the snippet name will be added to the Workflow Designer panel.

  • The final step after editing the snippet is to save it. Click on Close button from the snippet tab in Workflow Designer.

  • A Caution window will open asking to user to save the current workflow.

  • Click Yes. A Confirmation window will open with the local path where the workflow has been saved.

Execute Snippet

  • Open a snippet from the snippets list.
  • Click Start button – button part The result of the snippet is displayed in Tracking Data panel.

  • Tracking Data panel is divided into three sections: Tracking Data, Console and Output

  • Each section displays different information about the execution of the snippet. Tracking Data section displays all information regarding the execution of each activity of the snippet (it displays also information about exceptions, errors etc.), including results and defined arguments values .

  • Console section displays only the final result of the snippet. If the execution of the snippet has been stopped due to some exception or error, Console section will be empty.

  • Output section displays only the IN/OUT and OUT arguments together with their correspondent values. If no IN/OUT or OUT arguments are defined for the snippet, Output section will be empty.

  • To stop the execution of a snippet, click Stop button from Designer Basic ribbon menu.

Open Snippet

  • In order to open a snippet from the Snippets list, select a snippet from the list and click on Open button.

  • The snippet will be opened for editing in workflow Designer panel.
  • In order to open a snippet that is not from the Snippets list, click on Open button from the ribbon menu.

  • A Open window will open allowing the user to select a snippet.

Close Snippet

  • To close a snippet , click on Close button from the Designer Basic ribbon menu.

  • The snippet will be closed. The snippet tab will be removed from the workflow Designer panel.


Rename Snippet

  • In Snippets panel, select a snippet from the snippets list.

  • Rename File window opens. Type a new name for the snippet.Click Rename.

  • Select a snippet from the snippets list and click on Save button from the Snippets menu.
