Install Flowster Studio Execution Agent

• Before installing, please review the Flowster Studio System Requirements.

The setup wizard will install Flowster Studio Execution Agent and Flowster Interactive Agent as windows services.
UAC Enabled
If UAC is enabled on the machine, when starting the EXE, credentials for a privileged user will be required, in order to properly install the Execution Agent.




In order to install Execution Agent follow the next steps:

• Double click on the Flowster Studio Setup.exe file.
• The Flowster features dialog opens:
• Delect all features except the Flowster Studio Execution Agent.
• Enter the Main RestAPI endpoint by selecting the communication protocol (http/https) and entering the host address and port.
• Please note the Custom RSAKeys file path (optional). This is required if the Flowster Studio RestAPI uses custom RSA keys for communication. The RSA Keys file can be generated under the Flowster Studio Administrator page.
• Scan for the tenants and select one from the list – used to retrieve installer related data.
• Select the preferred connection to the Logging service:
  • Retrieve: will use a direct connection to a Logging service endpoint as it's been stored in the FLOWSTER Studio database. Click Get to retrieve the available Logging services list.
  • Manual input: will use a manually input endpoint.
• Select the location where Flowster Studio will be deployed or leave the default one (C:\Program Files\Flowster Solutions\Flowster Studio)
• Click Next. The Flowster Studio Service User settings dialog opens:

• The LDAP Connection, Domain format for portal authentication and System superadmin areas are disabled, as they're only inserted/updated in the database during a main engine installation.
• The Service user field is prefilled with the identity that's currently executing the installation. Please update it to the identity that will be running the Flowster Studio services (if the prefilled one is incorrect) and provide the Password and Password confirmation.

UAC Enabled
The Service User should be in the Local Administrators Group, in order to run the windows processes used by Flowster Studio (e. g.: the Flowster Execution Agent windows service will not retrieve the last score and it will not be able to support workflows executions on it).

• Click Next. The Flowster Studio components settings dialog opens:

• In a multi-tenant environment, select the tenant that the Execution Agent being installed will service.
• Deciding on the Execution Group name:
  • If the user selected a tenant that already has Execution Groups created, the installer will preselect the Existing execution group option and the list will be populated with the groups under the selected tenant. The execution agent will be added to the selected execution group.
  • The Existing execution group option will be disabled on tenants that do not contain any, and the user will have to provide a New execution group name, that will be created by the installer and the execution agent added to it. The installing user can also opt to create a new execution group even if the tenant already contains execution groups.
• A port for the interactive execution agent will be by default provided, but it can be manually adjusted.
• Click Next. The Flowster Studio SSL certificate settings dialog opens:

• Select the PFX certificate for the SSL communication:
  • Flowster Studio default certificate, deployed with the product, or
  • manually choose a different certificate (PFX only) and enter its password, or
  • choose to keep the existing (that were not unbound) SSL certificates. If none are attached, the default certificate will be bound to the Flowster Studio services ports.
• Click Next. The Ready to Install panel opens:

• In order to go on with the installation, click Install.
