Category Management refers to selecting different management options available for a category:
Add new category
There are two ways in which you can create a new category from Administrator.
Go to Home > Overview menu, click on the Actions drop-down list and choose the New category option.
- The New category window will open.
- enter a category name
- enter at least 5 characters for the description
- browse for an image to associate with the category
- select the language (the user can choose from english and german)
- click on the OK button to save.
The second way is to right-click over an existing category and choose the Add new category option from the context menu.
The New category window will open.

- select the language (the user can choose from english and german)
- click on the OK button to save
To create a sub-category, select a category, click on the Actions drop-down list and choose the Add new subcategory option.
The New category window will open.
- enter a category name
- enter at least 5 characters for the description
- browse for an image to associate with the category
- select the language (the user can choose from english and german)
- click on the OK button to save
Edit Category
A category can be edited by selecting it, right-clicking over it and selecting the Edit option from the context menu.
The Edit Category window will open.
- edit the name of the category
- edit the description of the category
- change the category image
- select the language (the user can choose from english and german)
- click OK to save the changes
Delete Category
A category can be deleted by selecting it, right-clicking over it and selecting the Delete option from the context menu.
If the category does not contain any workflows that prevent the deletion of the category, a confirmation window will open. In order to finalize the deletion of the category, click on Yes button on the confirmation window.
If the category contains workflows that prevent deletion, a Warning window will open:
In order to assign permissions that will apply for all timestamps in a category for a group/user predefined in Security Groups area, right-click a category and select the Assign timestamp rights option to open the Edit rights dialog:
The Edit rights window will open:
After the users/groups are checked, click on Save button.
In order to verify that the permissions have been added to the category timestamps, click on a timestamp inside the selected category and go to User assignments tab.
Users can export the entire content of a category (subcategories and workflows) for future use.
This can be done by selecting the category, right-clicking over it and selecting the Export option from the context menu.
Once clicked, a Save as window appears for the user to select the export destination
Select a location where you want the category to be exported and click Save.
The actual export will consist of a folder-tree that mirrors the [category - subcategories – workflows display Names – workflows versions – workflows timestamps] structure in Administrator.
The actual workflows will be exported as [workflowName].zip files that will contain:
- the workflow .xaml file
- a details.txt file (containing the display name, description and version)
- the workflow’s icon as a .bmp file of format [workflow_name].bmp
- optional, a parameters profile .xml file.
