Create Folder
- Select the default root folder Workflows. Click on New Folder button from the Workflows menu.
- The Folder Name window opens. Type the name of the folder and click Create.
- In the main window, click on Workflows tab to open Workflows panel. The Workflows root folder is added by default when starting Designer Basic.
- To create a new workflow click on button from Workflows menu. A Save As window will open and the user must specify the name of the new workflow.
- When finished, click Save. The workflow will appear in the workflows list under Workflows root folder, the workflow will be open for editing and a tab with the workflow name will be added to the Workflow Designer panel.
- The final step after editing the workflow is to save it. Click on close button from the workflow tab in Workflow Designer.
- A Caution window will open asking to user to save the current workflow.
- Click Yes. A Confirmation window will open with the local path where the workflow has been saved.
- Click OK. The workflow will close in Workflow Designer panel but it will remain in the Workflows list.
- Open a workflow from the workflows list.
- Click Start button – button part The result of the workflow is displayed in Tracking Data panel.
- Tracking Data panel is divided into three sections: Tracking Data, Console and Output
- Each section displays different information about the execution of the workflow. Tracking Data section displays all information regarding the execution of each activity of the workflow (it displays also information about exceptions, errors etc.), including results and defined arguments values .
- Console section displays only the final result of the workflow. If the execution of the workflow has been stopped due to some exception or error, Console section will be empty.
- Output section displays only the IN/OUT and OUT arguments together with their correspondent values. If no IN/OUT or OUT arguments are defined for the workflow, Output section will be empty
- To stop the execution of a workflow, click Stop button from Designer Basic ribbon menu.
- In order to open a workflow from the Workflows list, select a workflow from the list and click on Open button.
- The workflow will be opened for editing in workflow Designer panel.
- In order to open a workflow that is not from the Workflows list, click on Open button from the ribbon menu.
- A Open window will open allowing the user to select a workflow.
- Click Open. The workflow will be opened for editing in workflow Designer panel. A new tab with the name of the workflow will be added in Workflow Designer panel.
- To close a workflow , click on Close button from the Designer Basic ribbon menu.
- The workflow will be closed. The workflow tab will be removed from the Workflow Designer panel.
Rename Workflow
- In Workflows panel, select a workflow from the workflows list.
- Rename File window opens. Type a new name for the workflow. Click Rename.
- In Workflows list the display name of the workflow will be changed according to the new name.
- Select a workflow from the workflows list and click on Save button from the Workflows menu.
- A Confirmation window will open. Click OK.
- Select a workflow from the workflow list and click on Delete button from the Workflows menu.
- A Warning window will open. Click Yes.
