1.3.1.2.3. Workflow Parameters

Users can define input and output parameters for workflows. Input parameters are ways of specifying what information a workflow needs either from an invoking workflow or from the person who is starting the workflow. Output parameters delineate which information the workflow will provide, when it finishes running.

Input parameters can have different scopes:

• Workflow parameters - parameters defined in the workflow during the design stage. The values selected for these parameters in Portal are sent to the workflow when the workflow's execution starts
• Virtual parameters - auxiliary parameters that are not defined in the workflow, but added from Parameters tab when selecting a workflow timestamp. The values selected for these parameters in Portal are not sent to the workflow when the workflow's execution starts. Input parameters are visible and configurable in Parameters tab when selecting a workflow timestamp:

The Parameters tab displays the parameter's list and the configuration buttons for profiles management, parameters and virtual parameters management.

If selecting a snippet workflow timestamp, the configuration buttons are not available, it displays only workflow parameters defined in the snippet workflow:

Output parameters for workflows are visible only in Reporting →Execution Logs → Tracking Data after the execution of the workflow is completed.
