The client can access the Mail Settings area to configure the service that permits sending email to a user. On this page it is possible to set up the smtp server data, which in a simplified way is a form of transport used to send email, and it is also possible to set up the text or design of the welcome mail sent to the user at his first login.

To configure the smtp settings, the administrator must enter in the respective form fields the mail server which is an application that receives incoming mail from local and remote users and forwards the messages sent for delivery, the port, which is the port to be connected, the security flag which if true the connection will use TLS when connecting to the server.

The next step is to configure who will send the mail, the subject and the priority of this mail, which by default is set to normal. The user's username and password are optional, the user may choose not to fill them in.
